It’s a small world
February 19, 2008There’s this guy at work (in another department) that I have to deal with on a somewhat regular basis. I find him so annoying. He aggravated the heck out of me yesterday so I was glad to head out of work early. I stopped at Kroger on the way home and heard a familiar voice as I got in the checkout line. WTF? It was that dude - the annoying dude from work. So of course, I’m ducking and diving because I really don’t want to talk to him. It turns out he works at the AJC ‘kiosk’ trying to sell subscriptions. I know folks complain about the pay here but surely it’s not that serious. If you’re going to moonlight, at least go to UPS or somewhere that will pay well.
Well I hear selling newspapers, barely requires an interview. The hire pretty much on the spot! Fedex, UPS are better choices for pt work
While the guy is annoying, I don’t think he’s an idiot. He’s a software guy so he has to be at least reasonably intelligent and/or teachable.

Maybe he doesn’t want to do any hard labor. At least he knows he needs an additional income and he did something about it.
I’m pretty sure they pay close to minimum wage though. An educated person such as him should be able to find something better paying without necessarily doing hard labor. But to each his own, I guess.

haha. too funny. I’ve had to duck and hide from colleagues away from the office before and it can be annoying.
