One Life Stand

I didn’t do much of anything this weekend.  I don’t even think I left the house all day Friday.  I had meetings planned on Saturday and Sunday but hubby was under the weather so I stayed home to tend to him.  Though it’s still warm (low 80’s) in the daytime, the nightime temps have dropped so I decided to pull out my crockpot.  I made a mean chicken chili last week that will definitely get heavy rotation.  I also made a pot roast on Saturday so I wouldn’t have to worry about cooking on Sunday.  Easy and delicious.  I was quite proud of myself.

I THOUGHT I’d found a rug I liked for the dining room but the main color is brick red.  Upon further reflection, I don’t think I want to paint that color because the dining room has a white chair rail as well as white paneling/molding below that.  I think the red and white will look a bit odd so now I’m leaning toward going with a plum/eggplant color.  I really don’t care to paint all the molding and then that one room won’t match the rest of the house.  I’m halfway thinking of finding a decorator but the amount of time it would take to find one I like, I could probably just do the room myself.  Oh well.
